Stick welding gloves are made of thick and durable leather, like cowhide, that covers the hands, wrists and sometimes forearms.
Perhaps the most important feature in a Stick welding glove is Kevlar thread that provides additional heat resistance. In addition, a glove lined with wool or cotton-foam can provide more protection than a glove lined with cotton. Gloves for MIG welding should perform well in Stick applications, though top-grain pigskin or cowhide split gloves are among the leading recommendations for Stick welding.
